MY STORY
A small studio at the woodland's edge.
Calluna Moss began with one bench, and the wish to make objects that hold a little of the wild. The name comes from Calluna vulgaris — the common heather that covers the British uplands — and from the moss that softens every stone and fallen log.

Slow Making
One pair of hands. Real materials. Plenty of time.
Every piece is made here — no production line, no outsourcing, no shortcuts. Copper is warmed and hammered, silver soldered by torch, Merino wool is felted and fused together with antlers and Palo Santo wood to produce shamanic rattles. Mistakes are kept and learned from; batches are kept small so each piece can be given its proper care.

A Few Principles
What guides the work.
Honest materials
Copper, silver, brass, wood, stone, Merino wool and antlers. Nothing pretending to be something else.
Made to keep
Pieces are designed to be lived with for many years.
From the land
Inspiration is gathered slowly — from walks, weather, and the small details of British woodland and mother nature.
Quiet packaging
Cotton bags, paper, twine and enchanting tissue paper.
Small batches
Collections are released a few pieces at a time. If something is sold, you'll know it was made with full care.
A real person
Every email, every parcel, every reply comes from the same pair of hands that makes the work.
